Meet the Team

The Clare Tanner School of Dancing opened at Timperley Village Club in September 2002. The School offers Ballet, Tap and Modern classes for children and adults.

The School holds regular Examinations and we follow the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance Ballet syllabus and the International Dance Teachers’ Association syllabus for Tap and Modern.

Every 2 years we produce a full School Show at the Garrick Playhouse, Altrincham. This is such an exciting venture for the School. All pupils are invited to take part and the children love performing in such a wonderful venue.

I attended my first Ballet class at the age of 4 at The Gwyneth Hare School of Dancing, Urmston. As a child I competed in  Dance Festivals and performed professionally in Christmas Pantomimes at The Buxton Opera House and The Albert Halls, Bolton.

Since gaining my first teaching qualification at the age of sixteen I have taught freelance in a number of local Dancing Schools and I teach Ballet in Day Nurseries.

My dream has always been to have my own dancing School and that dream came true on the 15th September 2002 when The Clare Tanner School of Dancing opened at Timperley Village Club.

In the past 11 years, the School has gone from strength to strength. We hold regular RAD and IDTA Examination sessions with 100% pass rate and excellent results, we have produced 4 full School Shows donating over £5,000 to local childrens' charities, we have children regularly performing professionally across the North West but most importantly we have a happy School full of children and adults who love to dance!
